Wymondham RFC

Formed on the 8 June 1972, Wymondham Rugby Football Club is a community rugby football club, playing amateur Rugby Union.

Starting its playing life at Wymondham High School, the local secondary school, using their changing rooms, pitches and playing strip - hence our red and black kit, today - the club progressed through a number of temporary and semi-permanent homes until, through the generosity of Foster Harrison and his family, the club made their home at the Foster Harrison Memorial Ground on Tuttles Lane.

In October 2018, some 14 years after it was first mooted, the club moved again, to our new home at Barnard Fields, one of the most prestigious sports facilities in Eastern England and, yet again, a gift of great generosity from a local farming family - the Barnards. Simultaneously, the club changed its legal status, from a limited liability CASC to a charitable body.

Today, with an ever growing membership of some 1,500 members, enjoying 30 acres of outstanding grounds, a superb modern clubhouse and an active and wide-ranging social scene, the club is in good health.
