Wymondham travelled to Ely on what was a wet day primed to play forwards rugby.
The Red and Blacks knew they had to capitalise on an away win following last weeks nerves. Wymondham managed to draw first blood with their rampaging forwards who where hitting the ball up battering and weakening the defence. The second half started well with the rain now lashing down.
Wym let Ely have early points to which Wym needed to play strong forwards rugby to counter.
In a return, Ely gave Wym a penalty for not releasing which was duly kicked by Charlie Delaney.
With 20 minutes to go, Wym worked a solid line out to give the backs good ball for Charley Delaney to score and convert his own try.
Wym needed to maintain solid defence, with great turn overs and solid tackling.
They managed to wind down the clock with a barrage of strong forwards hits to win 17 - 15.
