    HEAD COACH – SENIOR WOMEN

    Salary: £5,000 per annum
    Contract: Two-year part-time contract (extendable by mutual agreement)

    Wymondham Rugby Football Club is a thriving, ambitious and financially secure community rugby club with over 1,700 members across minis, youth, touch, senior women’s and senior men’s sections.

    We take great pride in our youth development pathway, with a clear ambition that home-grown players continue to form the backbone of our senior teams.

    In October 2018 the club relocated to its outstanding 33‑acre Barnard Fields facility on the outskirts of Wymondham. The club continues to invest in its facilities and infrastructure as part of its ambition to become one of the leading rugby clubs in the Eastern Counties.

    Our club strategy focuses on building a strong and inclusive culture, increasing playing numbers across all sections, placing volunteering at the heart of our club community and growing commercial income to support our rugby ambitions.

    Women’s rugby is a key and growing part of the club and we are committed to continuing the development and success of the Senior Women’s programme.

    The Role

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Head Coach for our Senior Women’s squad.

    This is a hands-on coaching role reporting to and working closely with the Director of Rugby, Dean Richards, while managing the agreed budget for the Senior Women’s programme.

    The successful candidate will combine strong technical coaching ability with the leadership skills required to create a positive, ambitious and supportive team environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    ·      Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions

    ·      Lead matchday preparation and team performance

    ·      Help develop a strong and positive team culture

    ·      Identify, recruit and retain players to strengthen the squad

    ·      Support the transition of younger players into senior women’s rugby

    ·      Work closely with the Director of Rugby to align with the club’s rugby strategy

    ·      Recommend, recruit and manage assistant coaches and support staff

    ·      Manage the agreed squad budget

    Candidate Profile

    The successful applicant will ideally have previous coaching experience within a structured rugby environment, demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, and be capable of building a supportive and inclusive team culture.

    Applicants should hold an RFU Level 2 or Level 3 coaching qualification, or be willing to obtain this within an agreed timeframe (financial support available).

    This role may also suit a current or former player with high-level playing experience looking to transition into coaching while potentially contributing to the squad in the short term.

    Safeguarding

    The successful candidate will be required to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance and comply with RFU safeguarding policies.
